Tailgate N’ Tallboys is returning to Peoria in 2021
Illinois’ premier Country music festival will add an additional festival weekend in the River City next summer at a new facility. Louisville Slugger Sports Complex will be the new Peoria home to the popular festival, offering fans a new experience compared to years past. Louisville Slugger Sports Complex Vice President Rick Gaa says, “we are excited Tailgate N’ Tallboys is able to return to Peoria and look forward to providing a first-class venue and experience. It will be a great event to kickoff what promises to be another busy summer at Louisville Slugger Sports Complex. “
Dates have been announced for the Peoria edition of the festival, which will be in addition to the weekend already announced in Taylorville, IL. Country fans should mark June 3rd and 4th on their calendars. Artist announcements, ticket details, and more will be made in the coming months.
USA Concerts, a new entertainment company formed in late 2019 by co-owners Wayne Klein and Steven Crusen, will now produce the festival. “We’re very excited that we are bringing the festival back to Peoria. Our roots are here, and it just feels right. Anyone that’s been to Louisville Slugger Sports Complex knows it is a beautiful facility and we can’t wait for everyone to experience this amazing venue in a whole new way,” says Klein.
Tailgate N’ Tallboys began in 2016, originally held at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, with an inaugural lineup including Kid Rock, Willie Nelson, Aaron Lewis, and more. The festival spent the next three years on the Peoria Riverfront and hosted acts such as Kane Brown, Nelly, Old Dominion, Tyler Childers, Brett Eldredge, Cody Jinks, Upchurch, to highlight a few. 2020 brought a change for the festival, moving to South Fork Park in Taylorville, IL, creating a new experience with off road riding and camping added. The Taylorville edition of the festival will also continue in 2021, being held July 29-31.
